General:
When Rosebeth was a young woman she was in a wagon accident with Aunt Kate. Aunt Kate was killed but Rosebeth survived. Rosebeth had wound her long luxurious hear in braids around her head. It was because of this hair Rosebeth was saved from a head injury and possible death.
(I have dated Kate's death at about 1890 thinking that Rosebeth may have been 20 at the time of this accident.
Keep in mind that Rosebeth was in two accidents. One when she was seven at which time her heart was damaged. The other when she was a young woman at which time Aunt Kate was killed. {HRH note})

Angeline, Cornelia & Mary Jane
Angeline Tower, born December 3, 1833 and died December 18, 1856, was a sister of Francis Towar (the beloved grandfather of Dorcas Davis).
Angeline would have been about 8 or 9 when she was rewarded with this
"Reward of Merit".
Cornelia Tower Dorman , another sister of Francis, named her daughter Emily Angeline.
Born July 1, 1829 Cornelia was 18 when she married George Dorman. Emily Angeline was born in 1848 and died in July of 1849. Cornelia had a son, Richard, who was born and died early in 1850.
Shortly after Richard's death Cornelia herself died on May 23, 1850.
Another sister, Mary Jane died in 1857 at the age of 20.
I often think about Rueben Tower & Dorothy Day Tower. The deaths of Mary Jane, Angeline at the age of 23, Cornelia at the age of 21 and the deaths of these two babies would have been a time of great sorrow for them.
