" Lydia Jackson was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts on November 19, 1658,eldest child of Abraham and Remember (Morton) Jackson. She married onJune 10, 1677, Israel Leavitt, born in Hingham April 23, 1648, son ofJohn and Sarah Leavitt. Remember Morton was born in Plymouth in 1637,daughter of Nathaniel and Lydia (Cooper) Morton; she married November 18,1657, Abraham Jackson, an apprentice to her father. Nathaniel Morton wasborn in England in 1613 and came to Plymouth with his father in the thirdship 'Ann' 1623; secretary of the colony, and a noted man. His father,George Morton, was born in Yorkshire, England (brother of Thomas who wasbaptized, presumabley, February 12, 1599, in Austerfield); married atLeyden, Holland, July 23 (August 2 newstyle), 1612, Julianna, daughter ofAlexander Carpenter of Bath, England, sister of Gov. Wm. Bradford's wife.
